Dear participants and colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is a matter of great pleasure for us to invite you to participate in the 16th International Symposium on Eco-materials Processing and Design (ISEPD-2015) to be held from 12-15 January, 2015 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The series of previous ISEPD conferences that were held in Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, and Veitnam has provided wonderful information, science and technology updates to scientists and researchers in the field of material science. The main objective of this conference is to exploit on rapidly growing field of eco-material processing and design, bringing together the expertise from the international and national scientific communities as well as from industries. The development of eco-materials is only possible via bilateral collaborations among chemists, materials and biological scientists as well as industrialists.

This conference aims to bring together all the specialists in one forum and to highlight the importance of research in eco-materials and, its development in an emerging country like Nepal. This conference covers a wide range of interests. The key topics will be included but not limited to the topics listed in the circular. The purpose of this meeting is to facilitate interdisciplinary interactions between scientists engaged in the research, development and applications of eco-materials and to discuss the current status and recent developments of these materials for the improvement of human lives. In addition, the conference will provide foreign scientists an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and biodiversity of Nepal. We welcome you to visit Nepal.

Being located in the Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal–Materials and Environmental Studies and Research Consultancy (MESRC) and Prism Consults International Lab (PCIL) will hold the ISEPD-2015. The MESRC and PCIL will support for the best facilities possible for the comfort of all the participants and to make the symposium a grand success.

The ISEPD-2015 will take place at Hotel Yak and Yeti, which is about 10 km from Tribhuvan International Airport. This is anticipated to be an ideal place for accommodation, meeting, discussion and leisure of international researchers during the ISEPD 2015 period. We hope you will take up the opportunities to enjoy Kathmandu and its surrounding areas. We look forward to welcoming you at the ISEPD-2015 in January 2015.
